Almonds are high in potassium, folic acid, vitamin E, protein and heart-healthy fats. They are said to help regulate blood pressure and cholesterol levels. They are also rich in antioxidants, helping to flush out free radicals and detox the body. They make fantastic energy fuelled snacks! Blanched almonds are a popular choice in cakes, biscuits or trail mixes. The almonds are blanched in hot water (approximately 70C) then slowly dried to correct moisture level. Store in an airtight container, in a cool, dry place.
