1/3 cup activated cashews
2-3 tbsp nutritional yeast
1/4 tsp onion powder
1/4 tsp garlic powder
1/4 cup filtered water or veggie broth
juice of 1/4 lemon
a pinch of salt and a good crack of black pepper
2 tbsp olive oil
1/3 cup steamed squash/sweet potato/pumpkin
Blend 1/3 cup activated cashews with 2-3 tbsp nutritional yeast, 1/4 tsp onion powder, 1/4 tsp garlic powder, 1/4 cup filtered water or veggie broth, juice of 1/4 lemon, a pinch of salt and a good crack of black pepper on high speed until smooth and creamy.
Next add 2 tbsp olive oil and 1/3 cup steamed squash/sweet potato/pumpkin and blend again into a smooth cheesy sauce.
Add to your favourite pasta with some wilted greens and/or steamed broccoli and top with some crushed chilli.
